"Crossing Streets" is an application in the virtual reality (VR) CAVE at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. The project used virtual reality to teach young children, including those with disabilities, a safe way to cross a street.
"Becoming VR-savvy" is a project to allow middle school girls to collaborate with each other (and their teachers in science, arts, and technology) to design and create their own virtual worlds using the virtual reality (VR) CAVE system a. Students also had an opportunity to continue to work on their virtual worlds at the school using the VisBox, a portable 3D immersive system.
Biology Student Workbench is a collection of tutorials and inquiry-based learning enhancements to the Biology Workbench, a bioinformatics tool. Biology Workbench provides access to biological databases and analysis tools through a web browser.
