Members of the exuberant band, Baka Beyond, have developed a musical partnership with the Baka tribe, who live deep in the Cameroon rainforest and are exceptionally musical. The Rhythm Tree album opens with tribal music and is then blended with Celtic sources and lively fusions by this dynamic 8-piece band of top musicians from Africa & Europe. East to West has a strong Celtic influence with a reel from Cornwall and songs from Scotland infused with lively African voices and percussion and includes video of Martin Cradick playing with Baka musicians. Royalties from music sales help fund projects in the Baka community. |
